LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man who was shot in broad daylight in the Russell neighborhood on Wednesday has died.
Police were called to the 3100 block of Vermont Ave. around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday because ShotSpotter technology picked up gunshots in the area.
Officers found a man who had been shot and rushed him to University Hospital.
Thursday, he died from his injuries. The victim has not been identified.
Homicide investigators are now on the case.
A spokeswoman for LMPD said they have not made any arrests and have no persons of interest.
