LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Several Louisville legends were honored Monday night at the Louisville Catholic Sports Hall of Fame induction.
The seventh class included Louisville volleyball coach Anne Kordes, former Miss Kentucky basketball and wife of UofL head coach Chris Mack, Christi Hester Mack, Carmen Mims Noel, Laura Schwab, Dennis Pursley, Bill Glaser and coach Joe Reibel.
The Courage Award went to St. Xavier’s Patrick McSweeney' whose public battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia has gone on for more than a decade.
The sixth annual Howard Schnellenberger Family Award went to Dr. Donald and Shirly Varga.
WAVE 3 News' own Kent Taylor served as emcee for the event, and Signature Healthcare President and CEO Joe Steier was the guest speaker.
