LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - WAVE 3 News teamed up with the Salvation Army to try to make the holiday season a little brighter for area families in need.
The annual Angel-A-Thon happened Tuesday, with a goal to raise $60,000. That money would cover gifts for the approximately 600 angels who were not adopted this year.
The Salvation Army Angel Tree helps struggling families provide gifts for their children for Christmas. They serve thousands of families in Louisville and southern Indiana every year.
During this year’s Angel-A-Thon, generous callers helped raise a total of $102,123! That is the highest total every raised on WAVE 3 News for the Angel Tree program.
Thank you to all who opened their hearts and wallets to spread Christmas cheer to children in need this holiday season.
We couldn’t make a difference without you.
