LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Just in time for those New Year’s resolutions, U.S. News and World report has released its list of best diets for 2019. This year, the Mediterranean diet comes in at the top of the list. The diet is based on lifestyles from countries along the Mediterranean Sea.
The Mediterranean diet emphasizes an active lifestyle and includes fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, olive oil and seafood. Red wine is also included, in moderation. Foods to limit are red meat and sugary foods.
