LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - January is National Blood Donor Month and the American Red Cross is encouraging all who are eligible to donate to help meet the need.

With busy holiday schedules, winter weather and seasonal illnesses impacting the donor turnout this time of year, WAVE 3 News is working to make it easier for you to donate blood or platelets. Join us on Monday, January 14 as we host a blood drive at our studios, located at 725 S. Floyd Street, from Noon to 4 p.m.

If you can't make it on that day but would like to donate, you can always visit the American Red Cross Downtown Louisville Blood Donation Center at 520 E. Chestnut Street or the East End Louisville Blood Donation Center at 291 N. Hubbards Lane.

Another option is to visit one of the Bloodmobile locations. To find out when and where they are scheduled in your area, click here.
