(WAVE) - Tyler Herro scored 21 points and Ashton Hagans added a career-high 18 as #18 UK overcame an early 10 point hole to beat Texas A&M 85-74 on Tuesday night in Rupp Arena.
A Savion Flagg three-pointer put the Aggies up 10-0. UK answered with a 17-6 run to take it’s first lead on an Immanuel Quickley dunk. Quickley finished with 10 points, hitting all four of his field goal attempts, including two three’s.
“We had some guys that got outworked,” UK head coach John Calipari said. “Just get outworked, and think it’s okay. Like what’s the big deal, do you know who I am? You’re either outworking the other guy, or he’s outworking you.”
Hagans was 10-11 from the foul line.
Kentucky improves to 11-3, 1-1 in the SEC. Texas A&M falls to 6-7, 0-2.
The Cats host Vanderbilt (9-4, 0-1) on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m.
