WKYT in Lexington reported Albert and Patsy Christy’s son Logan Christy, 20, was found dead in Dcember 2017. The couple was arrested months later and originally charged with murder.
The medical examiner’s report stated the contributing factors toward their son’s death included neglect, malnutrition and dehydration along with pneumonia, according to WKYT.
Investigators believed the Christy’s stopped receiving benefits for Logan when he turned 18, which is when they failed to provide assistance in seeking additional government benefits for him. The medical examiner also said there were no contents in Logan’s stomach during the autopsy, according to WKYT.
Patsy told officials she fed Logan before 911 was called.
