LEXINGTON, KY (WAVE) - Kentucky Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle gathered in Lexington for the Kentucky Chamber Day Dinner on Thursday night.
Senators and representatives laid out their plans for this year’s General Assembly.
When it was Gov. Matt Bevin’s turn to take the stage, he confirmed he is running for re-election.
“I’ve said I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna do it,” he said. “The filing deadline is January 29. It will be done before January 29. I will be running again for governor.”
Bevin did not mention a running mate.
His speech also touched on the pension crisis and recent success with economic development.
