LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - It only snowed a couple of inches up North of Louisville in Seymour, Indiana, but that didn’t stop anyone from going out and having fun.
Slippery slush and mud covered a popular sledding hill. Only a few groups of children and families stopped by throughout the day, determined to make the best out of the little snow that was there.
Some said it was an unlucky year, and that these few inches at least got the job done. They were still able to get some speed going downhill.
Driving through town, surprisingly a frozen yogurt store had a small crowd. A frozen treat on a frozen wet day isn’t usually ideal, but one family said there is no denying ice cream, even in the winter.
In front of some homes, the snow was completely gone. It hadn’t melted just yet, it was used for a greater purpose--snowmen.
It didn’t seem to matter how much it snowed for families, only that it did.
Many took the opportunity to turn the first snow of the year into some family time.
