LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Police have arrested a Louisville man for allegedly stealing a car while the victim was in church.
At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at Chaplin Baptist Church. The vehicle was allegedly stolen from the parking lot during church services between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.
A suspect developed, and an attempt to locate the suspect was shared with surrounding counties. The Louisville Metro Police Department was notified since the suspect had a Louisville address.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., the LMPD contacted Nelson County Dispatch and advised they had found the stolen car and arrested the suspect, Daniel P. Young, 29, of Louisville, KY.
Young was being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
