
(HENDERSON, Ky., January 3rd, 2003, 1:30 p.m.) -- A very mild earth tremor has been recorded in southwestern Illinois about 30 miles west of Henderson, Kentucky.
Ray Bowman of the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management says the two-point-nine earthquake caused no damage or injuries.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports the quake was felt in Evansville and Mount Vernon, Indiana. A spokeswoman says the tremor was at a shallow depth.
