COVINGTON, KY (AP) - A warrant has been issued for a northern Kentucky man who failed to show up for sentencing on a bigamy charge. Jeremiah Travis Scudder of Villa Hills was free on his own recognizance after pleading guilty earlier. The 29-year-old Scudder told The Kentucky Enquirer in May that it was "childish and stupid" not to have obtained a divorce before remarrying. Court records show Scudder married Constance Holden nine years ago in Campbell County, then married Teri Mae Hutchinson in August 2008 in Kenton County. Scudder's first wife told investigators the couple had been separated for about a year, but never divorced. A bench warrant was issued Monday in Covington. Bigamy is a felony, punishable by one to five years in prison.
