LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The identities of the two people murdered Wednesday night in the Portland neighborhood have been released. According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the victims are 21-year old Brandon Borders and 17-year old Timothy O'Connor.

Borders and O’Conner, who were half-brothers, were shot and killed in their car that was found in the alley of behind 2227 St. Xavier Street. According to Dwight Mitchell, a Louisville Metro Police spokesperson, officers were called to the area at 8:07 p.m. Wednesday by residents reporting gunshots in the area. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Late Thursday afternoon, LMPD detectives said they still don't have a motive for the crime and no suspects.

Police are looking for a lead that could break the case open and ask anyone with information to call the LMPD Crime Tip Line at 574-LMPD (5673). All calls to the Crime Tip Line are anonymous.
