Danville man dies in duplex fire

Posted: Updated:

DANVILLE, KY (AP) - A fire in Danville has killed a 70-year-old man.

Boyle County Coroner James Ramey said Howard Watts was sitting at his kitchen table when fire broke out in his duplex Sunday night.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reported neighbors saw smoke and called the fire department.

Battalion Chief James Coffman said the fire was contained to the kitchen and its cause wasn't immediately determined.

Ramey said Watts lived alone and died from burns and smoke inhalation.
