
LEXINGTON, KY (AP) - Lexington police are searching for the owner of a car involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a Tennessee man in a coma.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reported that a silver Audi was found abandoned on a dead end street and police believe the owner, 23-year-old Hector Alviter-Rivera, may be fleeing the area.
Anthony Gibbs, of Clinton, Tenn., was struck on Saturday night as he was trying to cross Nicholasville Road. The 24-year-old was taken to University of Kentucky Hospital in critical condition and was in a coma on Sunday.
