Owensboro residents wary of 'Redneck Meet and Greet' club

Posted: Updated:

OWENSBORO, KY (WAVE) - Police in Daviess County are investigating allegations that a new club on a rural Kentucky highway is really just a place for people to meet for sex.

A building that once housed a grocery store and a bait shop has now been transformed into what's called "The Redneck Meet and Greet."

People can sign up to receive emails from the club, but be warned that the club has been sending images that are too graphic to include in this story.

Right now police tell us they know of no illegal activities at the club.

"To my knowledge, there's not money exchanging for sex," said Jeff Jones with the Daviess County Sheriff's Department. "It's simply an establishment where they meet. And then what they do from there - I'm not really sure."

Neighbors say they're planning to organize a peaceful protest in hopes of running the club out of the community.
