(OWENSBORO, Ky., July 25th, 2003, 10:30 a.m.) -- A scuffle at a T-Ball game in Daviess County has led to the banning of three men from all the county's parks and playgrounds for five years.
The Burns Playground Board reached the decision last week concerning the scuffle that occurred a month ago. A spokesman says the board is continuing to explore a zero tolerance policy to deal with inappropriate behavior during games.
Roger Bratcher Junior, Travis Bratcher and Eddie Smith have the option to appeal the ban in two years. The board says to win an appeal they must impress the board with thorough evidence that they have changed.
During a June 30th T-ball game for five- and six-year-olds, the three men were involved in a scuffle on the field that disrupted the game and injured a girl when she was accidentally struck in the face.
