Police Say Alleged Fraud Ring Made Fake IDs

(LOUISVILLE) -- Louisville Metro Police detectives say they've uncovered a major fraud ring.

It began with the arrest of two Hispanic males at a Louisville apartment complex. Between them, both men had more than 40 counterfeit IDs.

Police executing a search warrant at the men's apartment found equipment being used to make counterfeit permanent resident cards, Mexican ID cards, and blank social security cards.

There was also blank card stock used to produce drivers licenses.

Several thousand dollars in cash was also seized.

So far, police have arrested nine people in connection with the ring.
