SLIDESHOW: Dogs rescued from puppy mill taken to the Humane Society
After receiving heath and behavior assessments, along with spay and neuter surgeries the dogs will be available for adoption. These adoptions could happen as soon as March 21.
A puppy mill operator, in Morehead, KY, plead guilty to two counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty and one count of kennel violation. She forfeited ownership of 136 dogs to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals. Monday, 55 of those dogs were taken to the Humane Society here in Louisville.
