LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A crash in southern Indiana Sunday morning has claimed the life of a Jennings County man.
According to Indiana State Police in Seymour, the accident happened around 8:40 a.m. on County Road 275. ISP said 20-year-old Roland Bishop of Commiskey, Indiana was heading north when his Ford F-150 crossed the center line and slammed head on into a Ford Mustang driven by 32-year-old Jason Carr, also of Commiskey.
Carr was airlifted to Louisville's University Hospital, but died from internal injuries around 10:30 a.m. State police say their investigation shows Carr was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and his injuries resulted from hitting the steering column.
Bishop told police he crossed the center line to avoid hitting a dog in the road. The crash remains under investigation.
