PADUCAH, KY (AP) - Kentucky State Police are investigating a crash in which a Maryland man ran off a highway in western Kentucky and hit two deputy sheriffs' cruisers. A KSP spokeswoman said a pickup truck driven by 25-year-old Ryan Hardesty of Woodbine, Md., veered off U.S. 60 in LaCenter and struck Ballard County Sheriff's Deputies Russell Benson and Kevin Green late Saturday night. The officers were stopped in the parking lot of an animal hospital. All of those involved were taken to hospitals. Hardesty was admitted to Western Baptist Hospital and both deputies were released after treatment at Lourdes Hospital. Thomas Childress of Wickliffe - a passenger in Hardesty's truck - was also released after treatment. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
