LOUISVILLE, KY (AP) - Mr All American fended off a late charge from Ready's Clyde to win by a nose in the $47,960 allowance feature Sunday at Churchill Downs.
Ridden by Julien Leparoux for trainer Mike Maker, Mr All American won for the third time in six starts. The 3-year-old son of Unbridled's Song covered the 1 1/16 miles on the firm turf course in 1:43.85 and paid $14.40, $8.80 and $5.
The victory was worth $30,510 and increased Mr All American's earnings to $74,675.
Ready's Clyde, ridden by Jesus Castanon, paid $15.60 and $8.40 and finished 1 1/2 lengths ahead of Victory Notion, who paid $4.20 to show under Jamie Theriot.
