LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A local union is protesting what it calls unfair wages at four local trucking companies.

The protests were organized by the general drivers, warehouse men and helpers Teamsters Local Union 89.

They claim that Hammond Transportation, Summitt Trucking, Pegasus Transportation, Inc., and TDXpress pay workers below standard wages and benefits.

We contacted the companies targeted. Hammond Transportation and TDXpress had no comment. Officials with Summitt Trucking said their drivers are happy with current operations. We left messages for comment with Pegasus Transportation. Our calls have not been returned at this time.
