SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The fears of H1N1 continue as the virus proves especially dangerous to kids. That’s why Bullitt County parents accompanied their children to Bullitt Central High School Tuesday night for the first clinic targeted just for children.
Swannie Jett, director of the Bullitt County Health Department, said the clinic will target healthy school aged children ages 5 to 19.
The health department had 2,000 nasal mist vaccinations for Tuesday's clinic, but expect more to arrive in the coming weeks.
Children 10 and under will need a second dose of the vaccination.
A second clinic for children is planned for 5 to 8 p.m. on December 1 at North Bullitt High School. A third clinic will be December 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bullitt East High School.
