ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - A missing Hardin County woman has been found dead. Kentucky State Police say 53-year-old Karen Gillispie of White Mills left her home Tuesday afternoon for a walk in the woods.
Gillispie, who was reportedly on medication and was confused easily, never returned home. According to Trooper Bruce Reeves, public affairs officer for the KSP Elizabethtown post, Gillispie's body was found Wednesday by a KSP helicopter in a field not too far from her home.
Authorities say foul play is not suspected. There is no official word on what caused Gillispie's death.
