LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - More cases of the H1N1 virus have been diagnosed at a Louisville school. The Louisville Metro Department of Health and Wellness says there are two new confirmed cases of the virus at Meyzeek Middle School.

A spokesperson for Metro Health andWellness tells WAVE 3 the latest cases were sent to the lab on May 19th, but the results came back over the Memorial Day weekend. These bring the total number of cases at the school to eight - one adult staff member and seven students.

According to principal Chris Burba, attendance at Meyzeek was down to just over 77% on Tuesday. 245 of the nearly 1,100 students were absent from school. On Friday, the last day of classes before the Memorial Day weekend, nearly 44% of the school's students were absent.
