SANTA CLAUS, IN (WAVE) - 42 people are out of the hospital after visiting Holiday World's Splashin' Safari water park. Fumes from a bad filter pump at the water park gave people breathing problems.
Park president Will Koch says the pump sent highly concentrated levels of bleach and muriatic acid into the Bahari River waters Saturday.
Koch says lifeguards immediately got everyone out of the water ride and closed off the area. Koch says repairs have been made and the ride has reopened and the park is operating on a normal schedule.
