Kings Island officials say Son of Beast shut down 'indefinitely'

MASON, OH (FOX19) - The Son of Beast roller coaster at Kings Island will not reopen for the holiday weekend.

The ride was shut down earlier this month after a woman claimed she was injured during a ride on May 31. She didn't report the injury until June 16.

The incident report shows that the woman had to be admitted to a hospital's intensive care unit for a burst blood vessel in her brain.

Kings Island officials say they will keep the ride closed "indefinitely."
