LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The former head football coach at Pleasure Ridge Park High School is now facing another charge for the heat-related death of a player. Tuesday, a Jefferson County grand jury indicted Jason Stinson on a felony wanton endangerment charge.
On August 20, 2008, 15-year old Max Gilpin collapsed on the field during practice. He died three days later. Stinson was already facing a reckless homicide charge for the death.
A spokesperson for the Commonwealth Attorney Dave Stengel's office tells WAVE 3 that through its investigation it gathered evidence that lead to this new charge.
Stinson's trial is expected to start on August 31st.
