RADCLIFF, KY (WAVE) - Police believe an auto theft suspect wanted in Tennessee may be in the Radcliff area. Larry Joe Spencer, 56, is considered armed and dangerous.
Police believe he may be driving a stolen 2002 Dodge Caravan with a Tennessee license plate #780MZZ.
Police say Spencer, who is from Radcliff, stole the minivan from Jackson, Tenn. on Aug. 14.
According to police reports, the day before he allegedly stole the vehicle, Spencer became upset about being required to show ID and referred to President Obama and the U.S. government in unflattering terms and made vague nonspecific threats to "blow something up" and "kill someone."
Spencer is estranged from his wife in Kentucky following a domestic dispute. On Aug. 17, he acknowledged by phone that he had the van and made a statement to the effect that he was going to use the van "to blow something up."
