LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - FEMA is trying to do more to help flood victims in Louisville. To prevent such catastrophic damage from forcing families from their homes, FEMA wants to teach homeowners how to prepare for future disasters.

To do that, FEMA specialists will be at Lowe's Home Improvement Centers on Dixie Highway and Bashford Manor Lane to teach homeowners how to strengthen their homes.

The specialists will be on site Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday's from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. FEMA specialists will not be at the Lowe's stores on Wednesday.
