FRANKFORT, KY (AP) - Gov. Steve Beshear has announced thatKentucky is participating in an anti-obesity campaign called National Employee Wellness Month.
More than 60 companies across the country are participating. The program's goal is to increase awareness about workplace wellness and to educate people on how to be healthier and more active at work.
State employees will have a 12-week program in which they can participate in a weight-loss competition. People who participate in the Virgin HealthMiles program are also able to be in a national steps competition.
