LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A lawsuit filed by Louisville firefighters over unpaid overtime is headed to Kentucky's highest court.
Friday, the Kentucky Court of Appeals upheld a Jefferson County decision that says Louisville violated the firefighters' contract by not including incentive and longevity pay in calculations for overtime pay.
The ruling is going to cost Louisville Metro government $7.6 million, plus interest.
A spokesperson for Mayor Jerry Abramson's office tells WAVE 3 the city plans to appeal the ruling to the Kentucky Supreme Court.
