LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Cash for Clunkers program is over, but a local charity is preparing for another big dent in an important donation.
Bryant Hayden, director of Goodwill's donated car program says it is still too early to tell exactly how much the Cash for Clunkers program will hurt donations, but he fears drivers have already opted to trade in their cars instead of donate.
"What I fear is, is that with the Cash for Clunkers program, many of the potential donations that I would have seen in November and December have already been traded. Which is ok, because the government has their objective, but it hurts us still none the less," said Hayden.
