Police searching for woman wanted for ID theft

SELLERSBURG, IN (WAVE) - Indiana State Police are asking for the public's help to find a woman accused of committing crimes in both Indiana and Kentucky.

The woman shown in the photo is wanted by the Indiana State Police for purchasing/stealing an ATV from a southern Indiana business by using/stealing someone else's identity.

She has not only struck southern Indiana using the same stolen identity but she is also wanted in Kentucky for the same crime. Her usual method of operation is entering a business and making a purchase of a big ticket item, like a car, motorcycle or ATV passing a check or opening an account in the victim's name in order to purchase the item.

The Indiana State Police has teamed up with Kentuckiana Crime Stoppers, which is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the woman.
