Convicted murderer Holland denied parole

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man convicted of murdering a woman and dumping her body in Oldham County will not be getting out of prison.

Monday, the full parole board issued a serve out order for Jack Holland. That means Holland will serve his entire life sentence.

On January 20, 1980, Holland kidnapped, beat and shot 34-year-old Barbara Helm. Four days later, Helm's body was found dumped in a ditch near Rose Island Road by Belknap Beach.

Holland was sentenced to life behind bars in 1987. He is serving is sentence at the Kentucky State Penitentiary at Eddyville.
