LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Metro Health Department says it will be after Thanksgiving before public swine flu shot clinics are held.

That is in contrast to just across the river in Floyd County, Indiana where hundreds lined up to get their shot this weekend.

"The vaccine is in the community it's going out to doctor's offices and hospitals which was our choice as to how we wanted to distribute the vaccine," said Dr. Adewale Troutman, director of Metro Public Health & Wellness.

Dr. Troutman says the health department is planning community shot clinics. Those details are currently being worked out, but Troutman said don't expect the clinics to happen before late November.
