LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man convicted for causing a 2002 DUI crash in Louisville is now going to prison in Ohio.
Matthew Burton was sentenced to 22 years in prison for shooting his estranged wife in May. Burton pleaded guilty to attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault and attempted vehicular assault.
Burton spent 3 ½ years in a Kentucky prison for killing Richard Moskwa during a DUI crash in 2002. Burton was granted shock probation.
Moskwa's parents drove from Michigan to speak at Burton's sentencing in an effort to keep him behind bars as long as possible.
