LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A request for shock probation by a Louisville man who admitted to killing his mother has been denied.
Robert Derrico made that request in October, just four months after he was sentenced for manslaughter.
Derrico pleaded guilty, but mentally ill to manslaughter for the January 2008 beating death of his mother.
Judge Mary Shaw's office said Monday that Derrico has been officially denied shock probation.
