Suspect charged in November murder

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Metro police have made an arrest in a late November homicide.

18-year-old Marcus Crook is suspected of shooting 21-year-old Joseph McNealy on November 29th. McNealy was killed in the 500 block of South 19th Street and Stone Alley.

LMPD was able to find Crook by working with U.S. Marshals and Crook's family.

"There was some dealings with the family to try and get him to turn himself in. Obviously, it's easier if that does take place. Less chance of anyone getting injured in an arrest situation of that nature. And we were able and fortunate enough to make the arrest without incident," said Lt. Barry Wilkerson, commander of the LMPD homicide unit.

Another man, Steven Bledsoe, was arrested for hindering apprehension. Investigators say after the shooting, Bledsoe drove Crook to Tennessee to help him avoid being arrested.
