LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A stomach virus is going around making people miserable.

Dr. Waqar Saleem says a lot of his patients are suffering from gastroenteritis which means diarrhea, vomiting and stomach cramps. Unfortunately, the best treatment is to let it run its course. Dr. Saleem says get plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluids so you don't get dehydrated.

Dr. Daniel Arnold with the Southend Medical Clinic is also seeing gastroenteritis as well as sinusitis and bronchitis. To treat sinusitis, Dr. Arnold prescribes antibiotics and decongestants. People suffering from bronchitis have a cough and a low grade fever and it can be treated with antibiotics, prescription cough medicine and decongestants.

Dr. Tim Feger is seeing an increase in sinus infections due to rise in mold count. This is a result of the snow melting and, therefore, increase in moisture, which leads to growth of molds. The symptoms include stuffy head, chest congestion, itchy eyes, fatigue, facial pain (above and/or below eyes), tooth ache, post nasal drip and bad breath. The treatment is antibiotics and a sinus rinse.
