WASHINGTON (AP) - Indiana Democratic Rep. Baron Hill says he will vote in favor of health care reform legislation being considered by Congress.
Hill, who voted for a similar health care bill when the House first considered legislation last year, said he was satisfied that the current legislation addresses his concerns about taxpayer-funded abortions and deficit reduction. He had stated concerns about abortion language in the Senate's version and was concerned about the bill's impact on the deficit.
Hill says he is satisfied on both counts and proud to vote for the legislation. He says the legislation would end insurance companies' ability to deny people coverage because of pre-existing conditions.
