JASPER, IN (WAVE) – Indiana State Police have arrested three Orange County teens they believed to be involved in three recent burglaries.

On March 22, state police detectives and crime scene investigators were called to a home in Paoli which had been burglarized and ransacked. Among the items taken were jewelry, a firearm, knives, and a video game system. The following night, David Henderson, an ISP Master Trooper detective, found that his home had also been burglarized. Jewelry, guns, and law enforcement equipment were missing.

ISP Investigators were able to establish probable cause to arrest three Orange County residents: Justin Vanbrunt, 18, Johnny Galusa, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile, all from Orleans.

ISP Detective Rick Magill cited the cooperation between the Orange County Sheriff's Office, French Lick, West Baden and Orleans Police Departments and the French Lick Casino Security for the arrests.

"We believe all of the firearms, except for a few that were allegedly sold at a gun show in Salem, have been recovered. As for the rest of the items, just a few of the small items are still not accounted for," said Magill.

The same investigation found evidence that linked the three to another burglary which occurred earlier in the month near Orangeville.

The teens have each been charged with three counts of burglary, residential entry, and theft, possession of stolen property, and possession of marijuana under 30 grams.
