Harrison Co. Jail Commander Arrested

CORYDON, IN (WAVE) - Harrison County's jail commander turned himself into the jail he runs Friday night, answering an indictment he tried to conceal evidence in a case against the Harrison County Sheriff.

County officials tell us Nathan Simpson was booked and bonded out of jail, he's charged with obstruction of justice, after a state police investigation showed he helped Sheriff Mike Deatrick cover up evidence.

Deatrick is charged with sexual assault, after two 911 dispatchers say he inappropriately touched them in 2008.

Prosecutors haven't told us when Simpson will appear in court.
