Prison official killed in motorcycle crash

MOREHEAD, KY (AP) - Authorities say a deputy warden at a state prison died after a motorcycle accident in eastern Kentucky.

Rowan County coroner John Northcutt says 42-year-old Frederick Micah Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday on a highway near Cave Run Lake.

Wilson was a deputy warden at Little Sandy Correctional Complex, a medium security prison in Sandy Hook.

Northcutt says a 14-year-old daughter was a passenger on the motorcycle with Wilson and was treated for minor injuries.

Kentucky State Police say Wilson was driving a motorcycle when a pickup truck tried to make a left turn in front of him. State police say Wilson tried to stop, but the motorcycle started to slide, spilling him and the girl.
