LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A jackknifed semi on Interstate 64 caused traffic problems for just over an hour during the afternoon rush hour on June 2.
Around 4:45 p.m., MetroSafe received a report of the accident on eastbound I-64 at the 9th Street ramps. Video from Air 3 showed the tanker truck resting against the outside retaining wall with its cab pointed the wrong way.
Three lanes were blocked by the rig and emergency crews that responded to the accident. All lanes were reopened by 6 p.m.
Metro Police have not said what caused the rig to jackknife. There has been no word yet on injuries to those in the semi.
