No more discounts for handicapped drivers at Indianapolis Airport

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (AP) - Disabled drivers will no longer get parking

discounts at Indianapolis International Airport.

The airport is ending the $9-a-day rate for vehicles displaying

handicapped license plates or placards starting July 1.

Airport officials say the discounts were used at the old garage

and terminal because they lacked space and other amenities for

travelers with disabilities. The new terminal has more

discounts in 2009.

Starting July 1, rates for all drivers will range from $9 a day

in the economy lot to $18 a day in the parking garage next to the

terminal. Valet parking is available in the garage for up to $20 a
