Storms rip northern Indiana but no one injured

BUNKER HILL, IN (AP) - Severe storms that ripped through

northern Indiana overnight left a trail of damaged homes, but no

injuries were reported.

The National Weather Service sent teams to Carroll and Miami

counties Sunday morning to determine whether the damage may have

been caused by tornadoes.

Meteorologist Mike Koch says the storm that hit about 1 a.m.

damaged several houses, a church and at least 13 barns near Yeoman

in Carroll County.

WTHR TV reports the storm destroyed one home and damaged others

near the Grissom Air Reserve Base in Miami County.

Noble Gilbreath told WTHR he was heading for the basement when

he heard a roar and hit the floor. Video showed all that was left

of his Miami County home was a pile of rubble. Gilbreath wasn't
