Lexington police looking for female bank robber

Lexington, KY - LEXINGTON, KY (WAVE) - Police in Lexington are searching for a suspect after the Forcht Bank was robbed early Saturday.

According to a news release from the Lexington Division of Police, it happened the branch located at 140 Southland Drive.

Police say the suspect, a white female, suspect entered the lobby of Forcht Bank with her face concealed behind a surgical mask and dark sunglasses. Once inside she approached a teller and demanded money, while implying she was armed by hiding one of her hands inside a bag she was carrying.

The bank teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and police believe the suspect left the bank in a tan Toyota Camry. No license number is available because The license plate of the vehicle was covered with a dark bag. The vehicle was last seen on Southland Drive heading towards Nicholasville Road.

The suspect is described as a heavyset white female in her mid 30s to 40s, approximately 5'6" and weighing between 150 and 155 pounds. She was last seen wearing a dark toboggan, dark sunglasses, a surgical mask, a white long sleeve button down shirt and black pants.

The suspect was carrying a blue canvas type bag.

According to Lexington police, no customers were in the bank when it was robbed and no one actually saw a weapon.
