Over a dozen people homeless after apartment fire

Okolona and Camp Taylor Fire Departments responded to find heavy fire and smoke on the first and second floors.

"There was no injuries to any civilians," said Fire Marshal Mike Alandorf with the Okolona Fire Department. "We did have three firefighters looked at on the scene for some minor steam burns on their hands and some heat issues. They were treated at the scene and went back to assisted with the job at hand here."

About 15 to 20 people were displaced from their homes.

Fire crews say it appears the fire started on the first floor, but the investigation is continuing.
